Television actress Dipika Kakar recently gave birth to her first child with husband Shoaib Ibrahim on June 21. However, due to the baby being premature, the child is currently in the NICU ward while Dipika remains in the hospital.
Recalling the events surrounding the birth, Dipika expressed her anxiety as it was an unexpected premature delivery. She shared her initial worry when she couldn’t feel the baby’s movements, causing panic. Thankfully, after some time, the baby started moving, bringing relief to Dipika.
In the midst of this journey, Dipika and her family celebrated Eid in the hospital. They also documented their experience in a vlog, where Dipika described the events of that fateful night.
She revealed that after returning home around 2 a.m. from celebrating Shoaib’s birthday on June 20, her water broke. Although it was unexpected since she still had weeks to go before her due date, Dipika soon realized the urgency to rush to the hospital as she felt the water gushing out.
“I got alarmed as it was unusual. Then when I got up, my dress and the bedsheet looked a bit pinkish. I got scared. I told Shoaib to call the doctor. When I went to clean myself, I saw a few strands of blood on the wipes. I became numb seeing that,” she recounted.
Around 3 a.m., Dipika and Shoaib made their way to the hospital, with Dipika anxiously pleading for her baby to show some movement. “I was very scared and then he moved a bit. Then I composed myself and was finally relieved for the entire process,” she shared.
The couple is currently going through this challenging period, with Dipika remaining in the hospital while their baby receives care in the NICU. Despite the unexpected circumstances, Dipika and Shoaib are staying strong, hoping for the best as they support their little one’s recovery.
