Many Crew Members Injured On The Sets Of Eddie Murphy’s Upcoming Film ‘The Pickup’

As per reports several workers were injured during the production of the second unit sequence of this Amazon movie due to an automobile accident.

On the set of The Pickup, a number of staff members were hurt on Saturday during filming an action scene. Currently being shot in Georgia, the feature film is helmed by Amazon Studios. Several workers were injured during the production of the second unit sequence, the studio said on Tuesday.

“Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result,” a studio spokesperson stated.

According to the Associated Press, a truck locked up and struck an automobile out of the blue. Two people with injuries ranging from bruises to fractured bones were admitted to the hospital, according to the report.

In addition to Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer, Eddie Murphy also stars in the movie. The AP claims that none of the three were present on the set when the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, Amazon revealed that it is further investigating the matter, “We are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering,” the spokesperson said. “The well-being of the entire crew and cast is our first priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry standards of safety while filming. All safety precautions were reviewed prior to and monitored during the shoot.”
