HBO Max Shares First Look Of These Series – Know More

There's good news for fans of Sex and the city! HBO released the sneak peek of the upcoming series.

On Sunday, September 19, HBO Max has released the first teaser of And Just Like That during the 2021 Emmy Awards. The And Just Like That is a part of the ‘New on HBO Max’ montage, which included a sneak peek of all the upcoming projects that will soon be released by the streaming platform.

In the short clip, we can see Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis all together again as Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte while arriving at a restaurant. The trio can be seen side by side standing at an event together. However, when the trio recognizes someone, Parker turns around to wave and say hello. The clip then turns to a scene with Parker and Chris Noth in which the duo are dancing and kissing in a kitchen.

Along with And Just Like That, HBO Max also launched never-before-seen-glimpse shows including Euphoria, Insecure, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Succession, and more. As of now, And Just Like That does not have an official premiere date, but it is expected that it will pick up with three of Sex and the City‘s four main characters searching for life, love, and friendship in their 50s. There will be 10 half-hour episodes in the series. A source said that “rather than a new season of the original series, the reboot is being described as a new chapter entirely.”

Although, many stars of the original series will be reprising their roles including Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, and Evan Handler whereas OG cast member Kim Cattrall opted not to return as Samantha Jones. Sara Ramirez, Sarita Choudhury, and Karen Pittman will round out the cast as fresh faces joining the series.

However, a leaked script was shared by Page Six indicate that Carrie and Big are in trouble. In earlier series or movies Carrie and Big’s relationship has never been plain sailing. Far from it in fact. Even once they had their happy ever after in Paris, Mr. Big jilted Carrie at the altar in the first movie, meanwhile, Carrie ended up kissing old flame Aidan in the second.

“Everyone at And Just Like That… is thrilled to have these amazing and vibrant actors join the Sex and the City family,” executive producer Michael Patrick King said in a statement in July.” He added, “Each of them will add their unique spark and big heart to these new characters and the stories we are about to tell.” The 73rd Emmy Awards, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, aired live from 8-11 pm ET on CBS.
