The Met Gala 2024, a true star studded extravaganza spanning fashion, music, movies, sports, and much more, which is scheduled for May 6, 2024 will not see Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, as the couple have chosen not to attend the most prestigious fashion event, despite rumors that the famous couple will be there.
Celebrities will gather for the fashion spectacular to commemorate the launch of Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, a new show this year with about 250 pieces. The official dress code is based on the 1962 short tale “The Garden of Time” by J.G. Ballard. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will host the Met Gala 2024.
Interestingly, the couple never hesitated to flaunt their romance in public. They had previously been spotted together at important occasions like Coachella and the Super Bowl.
According to a TMZ article, Taylor and Travis both received a separate invitation for the event, but they have already declined it. Swift was hoped to be able to attend the Met Gala earlier. Afterwards, it was swiftly dismissed, claiming that she had prior obligations at work.
Before her Eras Tour resumes this month, Taylor Swift will reportedly be “focusing on rehearsals and preparations,” according to a People story. Although the first Monday of May is traditionally the date of the Met Gala, the singer would find this year’s date difficult to work with.
However, it is currently unknown why Travis Kelce declined to go to the function. Fans are still anticipating seeing the famous couple walk the red carpet together, though.
