The Idea of You, Nicholas Galitzine’s most recent movie, debuted on Prime Video on May 2 and is currently enjoying immense popularity. In the romantic comedy, the actor plays the imaginary musician Hayes Campbell. In an interview with People, Nicholas brushed off any parallels between Hayes and singer Harry Styles, saying that Hayes has “his own character.”
Galitzine discussed in the interview how his character and singer Harry Styles have been compared extensively. He stated, “I like to distance myself from that comparison because I think Hayes is his own character and has his own struggles and wants and tastes, even in who he is as a musician.”
The 29 years old artist further elaborated, “We took tons of different references. I think the boy band as a whole was an amalgam of a lot of different artists and groups. I’d love people to come to watch the movie with an open mind and embrace Hayes and August Moon, and maybe become fans of August Moon individually as well. I mean, there’s some really, really catchy songs in the movie.”
The English Actor made his on-screen debut with the film, The Beat Beneath My Feet in 2014 which also starred Luke Perry. Nicholas has also featured in numerous hit ventures including Legends, Handsome Devil, Purple Hearts, Bottoms, Cinderella & many more.
For the unversed, the movie (The Idea Of You) is based on Robinne Lee’s 2017 novel of the same name, which revolves around a 40 year old single mother (played by Anne) who develops feelings for Nicholas Galitzine’s character, a 24-year-old international singing sensation. The romantic-comedy tale premiered at Amazon Prime Video on May 2nd, 2024.
