Vin Diesel Heading Towards The Next ‘Fast’ Installment? Confirms With A Social Media Post

Amidst his legal troubles, Vin Diesel is providing fans with an update on the direction of his Fast and Furious franchise.

On Friday, Vin Diesel posted on Instagram to express that he had met with the writers and crew working on the anticipated conclusion to the action movie series from Universal Pictures earlier that day. The lawsuit was filed by Diesel’s former assistant in December, alleging that he had sexually assaulted her in a hotel in 2010 while Fast Five was filming. This is the first public update on the drama surrounding the movie. Diesel has denied any wrongdoing. Vin also produces the car-focused movie.

“Just finished our end of the week Fast meeting with the writers and the whole team… to say the excitement for our finale was incredibly powerful is an understatement,” Diesel wrote in his social media post. He went on to thank audiences for supporting the franchise and stated, ”This grand finale is not just an ending; it’s a celebration of the incredible family we’ve built together. Hope to make you proud!”

With everyone’s attention focused on the potential impact of the lawsuit on the franchise’s future, this message represents a significant development. Starring Diesel as racing enthusiast Dom Toretto, Fast X is the tenth film in the Fast and Furious franchise. It debuted in theaters in May and grossed over $700 million worldwide. There are plans for a second movie with Dwayne Johnson and other members of the Fast crew, in addition to a finale starring Diesel. Meanwhile, Louis Leterrier’s follow-up to Fast X is slated for release on April 4, 2025.

For the unversed, Vin diesel has also collaborated with Bollywood superstar actress Deepika Padukone in 2017, for their action-packed mega movie XXX: Return Of Xander Cage.
