Ruslaan Box Office Collection Day 1: Another FLOP For Aayush Sharma After ‘Antim’ & ‘Loveyatri’

RuslaanBoxOfficeCollection: Directed by Karan Bhutani, the Bollywood action-thriller starring Salman Khan’s brother-in-law and actor Aayush Sharma received “average” audience reviews but faced disastrous criticism from critics. Subsequently, “Ruslaan” had a lackluster opening at the box office, marking another underwhelming start for Sharma following “Loveyatri” and “Antim.”

Directed by Karan Lalit Butani, the movie features Aayush Sharma in the lead role, alongside Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, Jagapathi Babu, and Vidya Malvade. According to a report from Sacnilk.com, the action-packed film amassed ₹60 lakh nett in India on Friday.

Ruslaan’s box office opening day collections are shockingly lower than his two previous films, “Loveyatri” which earned approx. Rs 2 crore on its opening day and “Antim” which made Rs 4.50 crore on its first day at the box office. Both the films made a disappointing run at the box office. Loveyatri ended its box office run with a lifetime collection of approx. ₹18 cr, while Antim made approx. ₹59Cr globally.

On the other hand, although Aayush Sharma’s film, “Ruslaan” had a low start the film’s opening day collections were still higher than recently released films like “LSD2” which earned Rs 15 lakh on its first day and “Do Aur Do Pyaar” which earned 50 Lakhs on its opening day. Ruslaan is expected to see some growth during the upcoming weekend (Saturday-Sunday).

The narrative of the action-packed film revolves around Ruslaan, a character who boldly defies societal norms in pursuit of liberation. Alongside Aayush Sharma’s portrayal of Ruslaan, the film also showcases the talent of Telugu star Jagapati Babu, who previously appeared in Salman Khan’s 2023 release “Kisi ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan.” Ruslaan was released in the theatres on 26 April, 2024.
