Let’s know what Rani Mukerji’s story was about appearing on the Silver Screen.

Rani Mukerji was a lazy person during her teenage years, she didn’t want to do anything other than enjoy life. However during her high school years, her father underwent some medical surgery, and there were many problems with the family. Rani said that she wasn’t even good at studying, so there was a big question she had regarding her career. Her mother then suggested that she should join the movies. In Simi Garewal’s talk show, Rani shared her story which led her into the glamorous world of Bollywood. She said, “She (mother) manipulated me into becoming an actress. But I didn’t want to. Though we are from the film industry, I never really knew how an actor goes in front of the camera and performs or what is script is, or what films are about.”

Rani Mukerji’s schooling was done at the Maneckji Cooper Education Trust and there she didn’t have a single friend related to the film industry. Films were not as frequent at that time as they are today. So doing films then was like an underrated thing. “I never knew that I could fit into it well”, Rani added. But she went for it as her mother suggested. She disclosed that her first-ever screen test was so bad that her mother herself told the producer not to cast her in that film.  But Rani did a great job in all her movies, and till date, she is giving her best.

Rani was last seen in the movie “Mrs, Chatterjee Vs Norway” and soon she will appear in “Mardaani 3” as a single lead.
