India is currently fighting against the coronavirus pandemic and the nation has been put into lockdown to combat the spread of the virus. Due to the lockdown, many sections of the society are facing difficulties and to help them many celebs are stepping forward to provide the help.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced PM-CARES Fund and urged people to donate generously for the noble deed. Not only has PM Narendra Modi come up with the relief fund foundation but also the Chief Minister of Maharashtra has also urged the people living in the state to donate.
Many celebs like Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, and many more big names have stepped forward to help contribute to the various relief funds.
A couple of days back, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to announce about his contribution towards the pandemic. Shah Rukh Khan announced via tweet that his companies- Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation, and Red Chillies VFX – have contributed to a number of relief funds, including the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-Cares) fund and Maharashtra chief minister’s relief fund, among others.
Later CM of Maharashtra thanked the actor for his generous contribution and tweeted, “Thank you @iamsrk ji @gaurikhan ji.” Later, SRK, in his own unique style, penned a note in Marathi to applaud the government for helping the people of the country as he wrote, “ह्या लढाईत आपण सगळे एकत्र आहोत कारण थेंबे थेंबे तळे साचे. सर्वांनी थोडे थोडे प्रयत्न केले तर एक मदतीचा महासागर तयार होईल.. आपल्या मार्गदर्शनासाठी धन्यवाद! We are all a family sir….and we need to be together to keep each other healthy. Thank you.”
The CM of Maharashtra today acknowledged Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, who have taken to social media to announce a series of initiatives to help people battle coronavirus. SRK also responded to Aaditya Thackeray when the latter thanked the actor for his contribution, as SRK said they never have to thank each other during these times.
