The International Film Festival India, which is currently happening in Goa, has brought many Bollywood stars on stage, in conversation with people. A viral video from IFFI has gained lots of love from people. In that video we can see Gadar fame star Sunny Deol getting emotional. What was the thing which made Sunny Deol’s eyes teary?
At the International Film Festival India, Sunny Deol had a segment. He was in conversation with his three collaborators cum filmmakers, Rahul Rawail, Rajkumar Santoshi and Anil Sharma. While talking about films he did with these filmmakers and his journey in the Bollywood industry, Rajkumar Santoshi said a sentence which made Sunny Deol emotional. As per The Indian Express report, he said, “I believe that the industry has not done justice to Sunny’s talent, but God has done justice.”
Listening to this statement, Sunny Deol got emotional. He couldn’t control his tears. While controlling himself, Sunny said, “I just get too emotional, that’s my problem.”
Talking ahead about his journey he said, “I have been really very lucky. I just get too emotional, that’s my problem. I was very fortunate. I started with Rahul. He gave me three beautiful films. Some worked, some didn’t. But till today, people remember those films. I am standing here because of my films.” Gadar, directed by Anil Sharma, gave him tremendous popularity, but after that, there was a major struggle he had to face. He continued saying, “After Gadar, subjects or scripts were not offered to me and things were not happening. Even though I did some films in between, there was a gap of 20 years. But I did not give up. I was always moving forward. I joined films because I wanted to become an actor, not a star. I had seen the films of my father and I too wanted to do films of that variety.”
Sunny started his career in acting with the film Betaab by Rahul Rawail. With Rajkumar, Sunny made Ghayal and Damini. After Gadar, the recently released Gadar 2 earned Rs.615 crore at the Indian box office. Anil Sharma, Rajkumar Santoshi and Rahul Rawail; these three filmmakers contributed a lot to shape Sunny’s career.
