How Hrithik Roshan Managed To Achieve A Greek God Body For The Movie ‘Fighter’: Diet And Workout Revealed By Personal Trainer

Gethin emphasized the importance of good sleep for Hrithik's workout schedule, explaining that it ranged from five days a week with good sleep to four days if the sleep

Hrithik Roshan is well-known in the Indian film industry not just for his acting skills but also for his good looks and a strong physique, earning him the nickname of the Indian Greek God. As excitement grows for the release of his new movie, “Fighter,” fans are buzzing about the actor’s impressive transformation for the role.

In a recent chat with India Today, Kris Gethin, Hrithik’s personal trainer, gave a peek into the demanding routine that shaped the actor’s body for the movie. Gethin, who likes working with genuinely nice and authentic people, praised Hrithik for being intuitive and having a high IQ. He shared that during the filming of “Fighter,” Hrithik would start his day early at 5 or 6 am, have breakfast by 6, and hit the gym about 45 minutes later.

Gethin emphasized the importance of good sleep for Hrithik’s workout schedule, explaining that it ranged from five days a week with good sleep to four days if the sleep wasn’t great. Talking about the workouts, Gethin said, “The workouts don’t take longer than an hour. It’s very short and intense, but very, very difficult. If you can train more than an hour, you’re not training hard enough.” Cardio exercises like running, StairMaster, elliptical, and swimming were part of the routine. Gethin also mentioned, “He’ll do cardio once a day, sometimes twice a day, depending on how far we are in the process of what he’s got to look like.”

The day would wrap up with Hrithik making sure to be in bed no later than 9 pm.

Discussing Hrithik’s diet, Gethin shared, “He would probably have around six to seven meals a day. If he can’t eat them, he’s drinking them in the form of a shake. But it’s usually whole foods.” Despite calling the diet during “Fighter” as ‘boring’ and ‘bland,’ Gethin praised Hrithik’s personal chef, Shubham, for adding excitement. “It’s a very body-building-esque diet, kind of boring and bland. But luckily, his chef Shubham is very, very good at spicing things up,” he said. Gethin highlighted an interesting creation – an egg white burger with a chicken breast patty inside fluffy egg whites, with an added Indian taste.

While Gethin acknowledged that many clients want to look like Hrithik, he advised against direct comparisons, saying, “But you can’t compare yourself to Hrithik. He’s got very full muscle bellies, tiny joints. He’s got good genetics. Not everybody is going to have his shape abs, or his shape pecs. You’ve just got to be the better version of yourself.”
