Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma actor Gurucharan Singh’s missing case has been taking a whole new turn day by day. The actor who portrayed the character of Sodhi has been missing since April 22nd. Delhi Police has started a probe into the investigation. His co-actor Samay Shah recalled the last conversation between them and said that he was happy.
Actor Samay Shah played the role of Gogi, who was Gurucharan Singh’s on-screen son. Since the beginning of the show, Samay has been part of it, and he has spent the majority of time with his on-screen parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roshan Sodhi. After the news of Gurucharan Singh missing, Samay Shah shared his last conversation with him in an exclusive chat with Indian Express. He disclosed, “I spoke with him 4 to 5 months ago over the phone. The conversation lasted for an hour or more, and he kept motivating me. We spoke about chasing dreams. I was missing him a lot, especially as we were not working together anymore, and we were reminiscing.” They both last met at Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal’s real son’s wedding.
Gurucharan Singh’s last location is traced to Palam, an area near his locality in Delhi. He also withdrew seven thousand rupees from his bank. It is said that the actor was facing some financial issues. The 50-year-old actor was about to get married soon. But it’s been a week, there is no solid information regarding him.
Gurucharan Singh’s overall on-screen presence was really exciting. His character, Sodhi, was a completely energetic and enthusiastic person. No one can think he would be depressed in his real life. Samay Shah further continued saying, “He seemed happy when we spoke. I still cannot believe that people are saying he was depressed. He is not that kind of person, but then you cannot predict how human consciousness works sometimes. Whenever we spoke, he was very kind and sweet, he seemed alright, and he would continuously check on me. I don’t think he was depressed. However, we never had the kind of conversations he would have with his parents or friends. I was like a son to him.”
Gurucharan Singh’s father lodged a missing complaint when he didn’t reach his home in Mumbai and didn’t even return to his place in Delhi. Now Delhi police are investigating the case. Stay tuned for further updates.
