A day after he shared the intense poster for his upcoming film Bloody Daddy, Shahid Kapoor dropped his teaser on Thursday. The actor shared the same on his social media handles, writing: “Get ready for a great time at the movies. #BloodyDaddy, June 9, 2023, at Jio Cinema.”
In the clip, Shahid can be seen in a never-before-seen action-packed avatar killing bad guys with guns and knives. The film revolves around the mafia, drugs, police, and family with “lots and lots of blood”. The teaser also features a look at other actors including Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, Rajiv Khandelwal, Ronit Bose Roy, and Ankur Bhatia.

Bloody Daddy is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who previously directed Salman Khan in three blockbusters: Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan, and Bharat. It is said to be an official remake of the 2011 French action thriller Nuit Blanche starring Tomer Sisley.

The action-packed film will start streaming on Jio Cinema on June 9th. Director Ali had already confirmed his OTT release in an interview last September when he told Pinkvilla, “We designed the film for OTT because we brought a certain style to the filmmaking that I felt suited the OTT audience fits. I don’t want the film to be censored because there’s a certain kind of blood, action, and guns in the narrative.”
Aside from Bloody Daddy, Shahid will also star in an untitled ‘impossible love story’ with Kriti Sanon this October. Last week, the actors announced that they had wrapped up filming the movie and released the first poster, which shows the couple in a romantic pose while riding a bicycle.
