Aayush Sharma Breaks Silence On People Calling Wife Arpita Khan ‘Kaali’

In a recent interview, Ruslaan actor Aayush Sharma addressed body shaming and colorism remarks on his wife Arpita Khan.

Aayush Sharma, married to Arpita Khan, sister of Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sohail Khan, is promoting his upcoming Bollywood movie, Ruslaan, nationwide. This marks his first independent venture since his debut, stepping out from Salman Khan’s shadow. The Ruslaan trailer showcases gripping action sequences and promises a compelling storyline. During recent interviews, Aayush addressed the colorism remarks that Arpita often encounters online.

During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Aayush Sharma shared Arpita Khan’s response to comments about her dark skin tone. Arpita informed Aayush that people have referred to her as ‘kaali’ since childhood. However, she remains unfazed by their opinions and encourages them to continue talking. Aayush admires Arpita’s resilient attitude.

Additionally, Aayush expresses amusement at the discussion surrounding Arpita’s skin tone, finding it quite humorous. He questions the obsession with fairness among the majority of Indians, pondering whether everyone truly possesses fair skin. Aayush, hailing from Himachal Pradesh, notes his own fair complexion but fails to see anything negative about darker skin tones, emphasizing that there is nothing inherently wrong with them.

Aayush said, “Kis baat ke liye ek skin ke colour ke peeche log haath dho ke pad jaate hain? Kyu? Sochne ki baat hai, hum log yahan bolte hain ‘Black Lives Matter’ America main. Aur yahan pe khud ke logo ka hi rang ka mazaak uda rahe hain batao”.

Talking about how people body shame his wife Arpita, Aayush added, “Unka jo rang hai voh unka rang hai. Aapko nahi dekhna aap mat dekhiye. Kisne aapko roka hai? Kisne aapko bola hai zabardasti dekhne ke liye? Yeh bhi aata hai mujhe ki tum gym jaate ho isko gym kyu nahi leke jaate? Arre unka mann.”
