‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ Box Office Collection Day 1: Film FAILS To Secure A Decent Opening!

Sudipto Sen's latest film, "Bastar: The Naxal Story" starring Adah Sharma registered a disappointingly low box office opening.

BastarBoxOffice: “The Kerala Story”, filmmaker Sudipto Sen is back with his much-anticipated film, “Bastar: The Naxal Story”. Starring Adah Sharma in the lead role the crime drama was released in the theatres on 15 March. The film opened up to “poor” reviews from both critics and the public. Following the underwhelming reviews, the film registered a “super low” opening at the box office.

Sudipto Sen’s film, Bastar: The Naxal Story is actually based on and inspired by the real-life story and events surrounding the Naxals in Chattisgarh. The Bastar rebellion, which erupted in 1910, unfolded in what is now Chattisgarh. Despite receiving “poor reviews” from the public and critics, the film managed to secure impressive ratings from IMDb.

However, despite its good IMDb rating the film failed ‘terribly’ at the box office on its opening day. As per Sacnilk, Adah Sharm starrer crime-drama film, “Bastar: The Naxal Story” earned only ₹ 0.50 Cr (50 Lakhs) on its opening day (first day) at the box office. However, the film is expected to see growth during the weekend (Sat-Sun).

On Friday, March 15, 2024, ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ had a total Hindi occupancy rate of 6.84%.
