BastarIMDb: “The Kerala Story”, filmmaker Sudipto Sen is back with his much-anticipated film, “Bastar: The Naxal Story”. Starring Adah Sharma in the lead role the crime drama was released in the theatres on 15 March. The film opened up to mixed reviews from the public and poor reviews from critics. However, despite the underwhelming reviews, the film received an “impressive” rating from IMDb.

Bastar: The Naxal Story IMDb Rating
Sudipto Sen’s film, Bastar: The Naxal Story is actually based on and inspired by the real-life story and events surrounding the Naxals in Chattisgarh. The Bastar rebellion, which erupted in 1910, unfolded in what is now Chattisgarh. The film opened up to mixed reviews from moviegoers and critics and received decent ratings from IMDb.
The film was criticized by moviegoers and critics for being “visually disturbing” and “brutal”. However, despite all the negative reviews and responses the film has managed to secure an impressive rating from IMDb. Sudipto Sen’s film, Bastar starring Adah Sharma received a smashing 9.4/10 rating from IMDb.
Surprisingly the film’s IMDb rating is higher than Sidharth Malhotra starrer action-thriller, “Yodha”. Bastar has also managed to beat several recently released films, like Ajay Devgn starrer “Shaitaan” which received 7.7/10, Kiran Rao’s comedy film, “Laapataa Ladies” which received an average, of 7.2/10, and “Operation Valentine” which received a 5.6/10 rating from IMDb.
