It’s not even a month since it’s release, and fans of Paresh Mokashi’s comic thriller Vaalvi have got a good news. The auteur filmmaker has announced a sequel to his superhit film Vaalvi which is still running in theatres in Maharashtra. The makers made an official announcement of the sequel during the film’s success party.
Vaalvi, which stars Swapnil Joshi, Shivani Surve, Subodh Bhave, Anita Date-Kelkar released in cinemas on 13 January and is still running successfully in many theatres despite having to face juggernaut-like competition from Hindi as well as Marathi films like Pathaan and Ved.
Speaking about the film’s success, Paresh Mokashi and Madhugandha Kulkarni in a joint statement said, “The audience likes this film. The film is getting good feedback from them. That is what inspired us for ‘Vaalvi 2’. As there were many unexpected things in ‘Vaalvi’, ‘Vaalvi 2’ is going to have more suspense and thrills. At present, this is all a secret

Helmed by Paresh Mokashi, Vaalvi is a story of a husband (Swapnil Joshi) and his mistress (Shivani Surve) planning a perfect murder of his wife (Anita Date-Kelkar) and disguising it as suicide and all the problems they face to achieve their plan.
