India’s Got Latent BANNED? All Indian Cine Workers Association Demands Strict Action Against The Show Creators

All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has requested the government to take strict action against the creators of the YouTube show India’s Got Latent, after a backlash over a controversial remark made by influencer Ranveer Allahbadia. The association wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding a ban on the show and legal consequences for those involved.

In its letter, AICWA strongly criticized the content of the show, calling it inappropriate and harmful to cultural values. The association claimed that the creators deliberately used offensive remarks to gain popularity and attract more viewers. “These so-called comedians are not just crossing ethical boundaries but are also normalizing harmful content,” the letter stated.

Industry Blacklist for Those Involved

AICWA announced that all individuals associated with India’s Got Latent have been banned from working in the Indian film industry. The association urged Bollywood and regional production houses to stop collaborating with them. “No film or entertainment project should involve these creators in the future,” AICWA stated.

For those unaware, the issue arose after Ranveer Allahbadia asked an inappropriate question to a contestant on the show. His remarks quickly went viral, drawing severe backlash on social media. Even host Samay Raina appeared shocked by the statement. Following the uproar, Allahbadia issued a public apology, admitting his mistake and saying he deeply regretted his words.

Several complaints were lodged against them in Mumbai and Guwahati, leading to a police investigation.

During an interview with Instant Bollywood, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and actor Manoj Bajpayee shared their thoughts on the controversy. Imtiaz Ali, Manoj Bajpayee both felt that immaturity played a role in the situation. Imtiaz said, “I feel people should do what they enjoy doing, but obscenity is a subject that looks bad, and anyone would agree. Sanam Teri Kasam Re-release Scores Biggest Weekend, Overpowers Loveyapa, Badass Ravikumar

Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane’s romantic drama, Sanam Teri Kasam, was re-released in theaters on February 7. Despite competing with new releases like Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar, the film exceeded its original domestic collection within just two days. According to Sacnilk, it has now recorded the largest weekend for a Bollywood re-release.

On Monday, Sanam Teri Kasam minted ₹3-3.25 crore, surpassing the combined total of the new releases: Sky Force (₹0.45 crore), Deva (₹0.50 crore), Badass Ravikumar (₹0.60 crore), and Loveyapa (₹0.60 crore). This brought the film’s total earnings to ₹18.50 crore, more than double its original lifetime domestic earnings. The makers, however, claim that the film has collected ₹22.09 crore at the box office over the weekend.

The film’s opening weekend collection is approximately ₹15.50 crore net, marking it as the largest weekend for a Bollywood re-release, according to Sacnilk. Additionally, the re-release has posed tough competition to the new films, with Badass Ravikumar earning ₹6.75 crore and Loveyapa earning ₹5.15 crore, while Sanam Teri Kasam has outperformed their combined total. The film is likely to continue benefiting from the upcoming Valentine’s week.

Speaking of the release, the very excited Harshvardhan Rane said, “It is a very soothing feeling. This makes you believe in what Shah Rukh Khan sir said (in Om Shanti Om), ‘Agar sab thik na ho toh woh the end nahi hai, picture abhi baaki hai mere dost.’ I could resonate with that dialogue after nine years of trying, failing, and still trying again. So, it is like a soothing ointment and justifies the dialogue that Farah ma’am had in the film.”

Nevertheless, a notable change occurred in the vocal arrangements for the film. Mohd Rafi features in a solo performance in the film Sangam; however, a vocal trio with Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh was not feasible due to several factors.

At the time of the recording, a well-documented rivalry existed between Rafi and Mukesh. Mukesh was favored as the playback singer by the film’s producer, Raj Kapoor, which led to Rafi’s disappointment over his exclusion from the track. As the primary vocalist for the lead actor Raj Kapoor, Mukesh was selected to perform the male segments of the song.

Raj Kapoor had a longstanding relationship with Mukesh and held a deep appreciation for his vocal talent. This preference influenced his decision to have Mukesh sing in Sangam, mirroring their collaboration in previous films such as Awaara and Shree 420. Consequently, these factors contributed to Mukesh being granted the opportunity to perform this song.

One of the primary reasons for the discord between the two iconic singers was their differing views on the issue of royalties. Lata Mangeshkar believed that singers should receive a share of the profits, while Mohammed Rafi maintained that singers are compensated for their work and should not anticipate additional earnings. Consequently, the two artists temporarily went their separate ways.

Additionally, the film “Sangam,” directed by Raj Kapoor, featured Lata as part of his ensemble, as she had been the leading female voice in his productions since “Barsaat.” In “Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega,” three vocalists were featured, making it evident that Raj Kapoor chose to retain Lata as the female lead while enlisting Mukesh and Mahendra Kapoor for the male parts.

Notwithstanding the competition between them, Mohammad Rafi did provide his vocal talents for other characters in the film; however, for this song, the creators intended for Mukesh’s voice to take precedence. Consequently, Rafi did not contribute to this track.

Malayalam Actor Shine Tom Chacko Acquitted From 10-Year-Old Drug Case!

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has been acquitted in a 10-year-old drug case after the court found no solid evidence against him. The case which dates back in 2015, incolved allegations of drug possession and consumption. Alongwith Shine Tom Chacko, seven others were also cleared of charges by the Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court.

In January 2015, police had conducted a raid on an apartment in the Kadavanthra area of Kochi on suspecting illegal drug activities. During the search, they reportedly seized cocaine and arrested Shine Tom Chacko and four women present at the location. three others were accused of supplying drugs to the group. All of them were charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotrophic Substances (NPDS) Act.

After their arrest, Shine and the others back then spent two months in jail before released on bail in March 2015. The trial which began in 2018 examined nearly 25 witnesses and various pieces of evidence to determine the validity of the accusations.

The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court ruled in favor of the accused, citing a lack of scientific proof. Blood samples taken from Shine Tom Chacko and the others tested negative for drug consumption. Additionally, forensic reports from labs in Delhi and Hyderabad did not confirm the presence of cocaine in their systems. The prosecution also failed to establish a direct link between the accused and the drugs found in the apartment.

Chacko has not yet made an official statement regarding his acquittal. However, he previously spoke about his time in jail recalling how he coped by reading books and staying hopeful about his future in films.

Despite the legal battle, Shine Tom Chacko has continued working in the Malayalam film industry. He was recently seen in Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse and will appear in L2: Empuraan and Bazooka.

यह समाज के मनोरंजन का माध्यम है और इससे प्रदेश के लोगों को रोजगार भी मिलता है। इसलिए आदरणीय मुख्यमंत्री जी के नेतृत्व में फिल्मों को सब्सिडी भी दी जा रही है, ताकि फिल्म मेकर को प्रोत्साहन मिले। निर्देशक अनंजय रघुराज ने भी अपनी उत्सुकता जाहिर करते हुए कहा,”यह फिल्म दर्शकों को मनोरंजन के साथ एक मजबूत संदेश भी देगी। कहानी, एक्शन और इमोशंस से भरपूर इस फिल्म को बनाने में हम कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ेंगे।” आपको बता दें कि “पटना से पाकिस्तान 2” का निर्माण उच्च तकनीकी स्तर पर किया जाएगा और इसमें बेहतरीन सिनेमेटोग्राफी देखने को मिलेगी। “पटना से पाकिस्तान 2” में निरहुआ के साथ रवि किशन, पवन सिंह, सेजल साहू, श्वेता महारा, मीर सरवर, सुशील सिंह, संजय पांडेय, विकास मेहता और मनोज टाइगर मुख्य भूमिका में होंगे। यह स्टार कास्ट भोजपुरी सिनेमा के सबसे बड़े चेहरों में गिनी जाती है, जिससे यह फिल्म दर्शकों के लिए और भी रोमांचक होने वाली है।

फिल्म की कहानी राकेश त्रिपाठी ने लिखी है। सिनेमेटोग्राफी यानी डीओपी की जिम्मेदारी महेश बेंकट के कंधों पर है। फिल्म की कहानी को पहले से भी ज्यादा दमदार और रोमांचक बनाया गया है। एक्शन सीक्वेंस को हॉलीवुड स्टाइल में फिल्माया जाएगा, जिससे यह भोजपुरी सिनेमा में एक नई मिसाल बनेगी। भोजपुरी सिनेमा के तीन दिग्गज दिनेश लाल यादव ‘निरहुआ’, रवि किशन और पवन सिंह पहली बार इस स्तर पर एक साथ स्क्रीन शेयर करते नजर आएंगे। इस फिल्म के पीआरओ रंजन सिन्हा हैं, जो फिल्म के प्रचार-प्रसार की जिम्मेदारी संभालेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि पटना से पाकिस्तान 2″ भोजपुरी सिनेमा के इतिहास में सबसे बड़ी एक्शन-थ्रिलर फिल्म होने वाली है। इस फिल्म में न सिर्फ मनोरंजन होगा बल्कि एक सशक्त संदेश भी दिया जाएगा। भोजपुरी सिनेमा प्रेमियों के लिए यह फिल्म किसी बड़े धमाके से कम नहीं होगी, क्योंकि इसमें धमाकेदार एक्शन, जबरदस्त स्टार कास्ट और मनोरंजक कहानी का तड़का देखने को मिलेगा। अब सभी को इस फिल्म की शूटिंग शुरू होने और रिलीज़ डेट की आधिकारिक घोषणा का इंतजार रहेगा।
