Salman Khan is mourning the loss of a close family friend Kumod Raney, who passed away in Mumbai on June 9. The loss appears to have deeply affected the Khan family and videos from the funeral have now gone viral on social media.
Several clips from the cremation ceremony in Santacruz show Salman arriving to pay his final respects. Dressed simply and keeping a low profile, the actor appeared visibly emotional as he met family members and friends gathered at the venue.
Kumod Raney was known as a successful entrepreneur and the founder of Reign Beauty bar in Dubai. And beyond her professional life, she shared a close friendship with the Khan family that reportedly spanned for many years.
Not only Salman Khan but the entire family came together for the final rites, Bhaijaan was joined by his brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. Family members including Salma Khan, Helen, Arpita Khan Sharma, Arhaan Khan and Nirvaan Khan were also present to pay their respects.
One of the videos circulating online shows Salman struggling to control his emotions while speaking to those present. Other clips also show younger members of the family were seen visibly affected by the loss.
These videos quickly went viral and fans started pouring in messages of support and condolences on social media. As watching their idol’s emotional side was very rare to witness away from his regular films and public appearances.
