Watch: Avinash Sachdev’s Explosive Interview After Eviction

Watch the exclusive interview of Avinash Sachdev after his eviction from Bigg Boss OTT 2. He opens up about his breakup with Palak and Rubina, failed marriage, equation with Elvish Yadav and who he thinks should win Bigg Boss OTT season 2.

What mistake led to your eviction?

While I was in the house and after coming out also, I have come to a realization that people liked my game. Hashtag ‘Game Changer Avinash’ was trending on Twitter. So, there was no mistake in my game. But yes, since I have much lesser followers on social media, it was my weak point. This affected me.

So, do you believe that this time Bogg Boss OTT is a war between actors and social media influencers? And since these influencers have huge following on social media and they are always active while actors are mostly busy with work, so is this a big gap?

No, it’s not just about followers. One has to have a game also. Even if you have 20 million followers and you don’t do anything in Bigg Boss, it’s not like you can win it. So, it’s not a game of followers.

Now that Elvish, Abhishek and Pooja Bhatt have reached the finals, and two more will be selected for the finale on 14th August, who do you think should be a winner?

I would like to see two people as winners. One is Pooja Bhatt. Her personality has come out loud in the show. And whatever little arrogance we have seen in her, it must be there since she is “The Pooja Bhatt”. Secondly, I am liking the game of Elvish. I and Elvish had a fight in the beginning, so I didn’t get a chance to see his personal side, but I started talking to him a few days before my eviction. We had a man-to-man talk and I realized that he is a very different person. He is a very intelligent person and he confessed that he has anger issues. He has no ego issues, he is not arrogant. Even though he has a huge fan following but he isn’t arrogant about it. He is a good person.

Your ex-girlfriend Palak Purswani made several allegations against you after coming out of the house. She mentioned that she had given you a chance but you betrayed her and that’s the reason why her father had a heart attack.

She is saying this after 21 months of breakup. Let me tell you that my father and her brother stayed in touch with each other for more than a year because some accounts had to be settled. Secondly, she and I have a lot of mutual friends and we have met each other several times in parties after the breakup. And we spent a good time and behaved in a respectful manner with each other. And, she never said these things all this time because there’s no truth to it.

I know that her father was hospitalized in Nagpur. I had myself called and asked about his well-being. But I don’t know where this heart attack word is coming from and I am least bothered about it.

Even in the Bigg Boss house, we lived normally. I have found out that when she got evicted, she didn’t say anything about me during the initial interviews. But she started saying those things in her personal interviews that were done after 3 days of eviction. So, I don’t know what was going on in her mind. And honesty, I don’t care also because my relationship with her doesn’t matter to me anymore. And now she isn’t even important to me because she has made a mockery of it. So, there’s nothing left now.

We saw you developing a bond with Falaq Naaz. When she came out of the house, she mentioned that she’ll wait for you. What do you have to say about it?

Yes, even I was expecting her to wait for me. There’s a lot we have to talk about. And I have realised that we are on the same page. She is a very mature and understanding girl. Although many questions were raised about her own sister. Even at that time, she handled everything maturely. She even asked me about Palak and I told her clearly what I feel. Only a mature person can handle this well.

Now that we are out of Bigg Boss, we want to take things slow. Her priority is her career and my priority right now is my career. So, whatever happens, is up to God!

Your first relationship was with your Chotti Bahu co-star Rubina Dilaik. Then you married Shalmalee Desai, your co-star from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir. Even that didn’t last long. Then you had a break-up with Palak Purswani as well. So, do you think you are making a mistake in terms of personal relationships?

I have become a lot more mature now. And when life slaps you, you automatically became mature. Talking about my relationship with Palak, after her recent comments, I feel good that we had a breakup. I mean, if this is her true face, then God has really helped me here. I must have done something right in my previous birth that I am out of this relationship.

Talking about my divorce, people don’t know the reason behind it because both our families had decided not to tell the reason to anyone. She remarried in April and I feel nice about it. So, there is a respect between us that will remain forever.

Talking about my relationship with Rubina, people are talking about it because I have come out of Bigg Boss house, otherwise no one was asking about it. Rubina and I have always maintained respect for each other. We both are professional people and we respect each other professionally. That’s it!

What are your future plans?

I have already started getting calls but I will take some time to think. Whatever decision I will take, I know I will be happy about it.
