No Bail For Elvish Yadav In Snake Venom Case, Hearing Postponed!

As per the latest reports, Youtuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav's bail hearing was postponed.

Elvish Yadav was brought to a local court in Noida for his bail hearing on Wednesday, but unfortunately, he did not receive any relief. Represented by BJP spokesperson and lawyer Gaurav Bhatia, a conflict arose between him and other lawyers present at the court.

According to India.com sources revealed that the bail hearing was postponed due to a strike initiated by the local Bar Association, preventing any court-related activities. Despite Bhatia’s efforts to convey the urgency and sensitivity of the case, a disagreement ensued, halting further proceedings and resulting in the hearing’s postponement.

This marked Elvish’s inaugural bail hearing since his arrest on Sunday, leading to a 14-day judicial custody in connection with the snake venom case. The prominent YouTuber stands accused of allegedly supplying snakes and their venom to various illicit gatherings in Noida and neighboring NCR regions for recreational purposes.

Despite persistent denials from his family and friends, law enforcement remains convinced of his involvement. Elvish came under scrutiny after Noida police raided a rave party in the city last November, prompted by a tip-off from People For Animal, an NGO chaired by BJP’s Sultanpur MP, Maneka Gandhi. Initially, five arrests were made at a banquet hall in Noida’s Sector 51, leading to Elvish being summoned for questioning last Sunday.

On Tuesday, a Noida police official informed the media that during questioning, Elvish displayed confidence as if he had no apprehensions about the authorities. According to a statement provided to the Indian Express, the official noted Elvish’s demeanor, suggesting he aimed to project fearlessness to his fans regarding law enforcement.

Conversely, Elvish’s parents, Sushma and Rav Avtar Yadav, have been speaking to news channels, asserting that someone is attempting to tarnish their son’s reputation. They claim the ‘real culprit’ will remain undisclosed. Furthermore, they appealed to Maneka Gandhi, whose NGO initially alerted the police, to show leniency towards their son and release him.
