Upcoming Malayalam Movies On OTT

Manjummel Boys

‘Manjummel Boys’ is a 2024 Indian Malayalam survival thriller film directed by Chidambaram and produced by Parava Films. Inspired by true events from 2006, it follows a group of friends from Manjummel, near Kochi, on a vacation to Kodaikanal.

‘Manjummel Boys’ is expected to release on OTT platform, “Disney+Hotstar” on May 3, 2024.

Anchakkallakkokkan

‘Anchakkallakokkan’ is a 2024 Malayalam Western crime drama set in 1986. It revolves around the murder of a landlord on election day, prompting a team of police officers led by Nadavaramba to investigate. The perpetrator is suspected to hold a grudge against a particular family, adding depth to the plot. The film delves into the suspense and complexity of the investigation.

‘Anchakkallakkokkan’ is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Aavesham

‘Aavesham’ is a 2024 Malayalam action comedy film directed by Jithu Madhavan. Produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed, it stars Fahadh Faasil, Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavas. Music by Sushin Shyam, cinematography by Sameer Thahir, and editing by Vivek Harshan.

The OTT rights for ‘Aavesham’ have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video, although the release date has yet to be announced.

Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life

‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life’ is a 2024 Malayalam survival drama, directed and co-produced by Blessy. Adapted from Benyamin’s novel, it portrays the true story of Najeeb, an Indian laborer enslaved in Saudi Arabia. Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and K. R. Gokul, with Talib Al Balushi, Rik Aby, Amala Paul, and Shobha Mohan in supporting roles. It’s banned in Khaleeji countries except the UAE and premieres on Disney+ Hotstar.

Disney+Hotstar has acquired digital streaming rights for ‘Aadujeevitham.’ It’s expected to debut on OTT platforms 40 days after its theatrical release, likely on May 10.
