Actress and reality show star Divya Agarwal made her fans laugh after one of her responses to a rather bizarre question put to an AMA went viral. Divya held a Q&A with her fans on Instagram on Wednesday, answering questions about her life, career, and recent engagement to restaurateur Apurva Padgaonkar.
However, one of her followers decided to send the question: “Are you a virgin?” Far from ignoring him or berating the follower, she shared the question and replied, “Yes.” After some fan clubs shared the reaction on social media, many fans praised Divya. “This is one way to respond to trolls,” wrote one. However, others advised Divya to ignore these questions.
She had recently taken offense at being called a gold digger by trolls after her engagement to Apurva Padgaonkar. Speaking to the Bombay Times, Divya said, “I’ve won reality shows and been part of three web shows… I’m an independent girl. Can’t a woman also want a partner who is also anchored in her career? Is that a gold digger? If I were a gold digger, I wouldn’t have worked hard and built a career, I would have found a rich man and settled down.”(DNA)

Divya also recently faced controversy after her ex-boyfriend Varun Sood’s sister claimed the actress hadn’t returned some ancestral jewelry he gave her. Previously, Varun had also made a similar claim in an interview. In response, she had said that Varun “could have avoided the question”. She added that she must respect boundaries, saying that “you have to know how to avoid them and show dignity because now I’m engaged.”
