As Lok Sabha elections kick off, there’s a surge in fake videos of celebrities circulating on social media. These misleading clips depict famous personalities supposedly endorsing political parties, aiming to sway public opinion. Recently, Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh faced similar situations and filed complaints about fake videos. Now, a fabricated video allegedly featuring actor Allu Arjun supporting the Congress Party has emerged. However, it’s important to note that these videos are completely false and generated using artificial intelligence.
Allu Arjun’s Deepfake Video
The video shows Allu Arjun and his wife, Sneha Reddy, standing in an open-top car, waving and smiling at people, with several individuals surrounding them. The caption accompanying the video claims, “Allu Arjun is actively supporting the Congress Party.” Another individual stated, “Allu Arjun, India’s biggest superstar, is endorsing the Congress Party.” Watch here.
The video is originally from 2022 when Allu Arjun visited New York. He represented India at the ‘India Day Parade,’ a prominent annual event organized by the Indian diaspora in America. Allu was honored with the title of Grand Marshal during the parade. Subsequently, the actor shared videos related to the event himself.
Additionally, the couple commemorated India’s 75th Independence Day in New York. Allu Arjun posted a video on his Instagram Story, showing him waving the national flag during the parade, with the caption, “It was an honor to be the Grand Marshal of the India Day Parade in New York.”
Allu Arjun’s Upcoming Movies
Regarding Allu Arjun’s upcoming projects, he is nearing completion of the shooting for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, slated for release on August 15. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna. It’s worth noting that Rashmika has also been targeted by deepfake videos.
