Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 since its start and inception on 19th October 2020 on Star Plus has been successful in creating a new fan base of its own where the audiences who are fans of the show since the first season gave immense love to the entire show this time as well along with lauding and loving the brilliant performances by Gopi (Devoleena Bhattacharjee), Ahem (Mohammad Nazim) and Kokila (Rupal Patel). In the new season Gehna (Sneha Jain) and Anant (Harsh Nagar) play the main leads. However it was recently announced that Kokila’s character will come to an end in the show where Rupal Patel also confirmed that she would shoot for her last episode on 7th November 2020.
After Kokila’s exit from the makers made up their mind to slowly fade away the Modi family thereby taking the storyline and plot ahead with the new leads and their family. Explaining the same during her recent interview with a popular Indian tabloid, Rupal Patel said, “Everything was pre-decided, and we are parting on amicable terms.” Rupal Patel revealed that she had agreed to do the one-month stint for her audience. “I’m a National School of Drama (NSD) graduate with over 20 years of experience. I don’t need to do such small parts but only agreed to SNS 2 to show gratitude to my audience, the show, and the channel. When SNS2 was announced, I was expected to return and I didn’t want to disappoint”.
Devoleena also gave an honest reaction on KokilaBen’s exit from Saathiya 2 in her recent interview with a leading Indian digital entertainment website, where she said, “I am very shocked and unhappy to know this. Honestly as a viewer and co actor, Saathiya without Koki is unimaginable. I will really miss her on sets and I really hope that she comes back. Though I am not happy, I respect her and her decision. She is senior and experience and a great personality. At the same time, I will miss the opportunity to learn more from here. The bond Gopi and Koki share onscreen and off screen will be missed. I will miss the scenes of Gopi and Koki”.
