Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2 which came out as a surprise hit has been successfully garnering audiences love. Meanwhile, there were reports stating Rupal Patel might exit Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2, well it is now confirmed that she’s indeed leaving the show, as her character was brought back for a finite period.
Confirming the news to a news portal, Rupal said, “I have been working in the industry for many years but I have never done a show for one month. But when I was approached with the sequel of Saath Nibhana Saathiya it was for one month only. And now that a month is over, I will be making my exit from the show which was planned. I said yes for this small journey in Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2 only because it’s my gratitude to all the fans of Kokilaben and Rupal Patel. I have received so much love from my audience especially for this character and the show that when makers came to me with this idea for joining and supporting them to uplift this it was my moral responsibility as a creative artist to say a yes for it”.
The actor who played the character for 8 long years, now thinks it’s the end of Kokila’s character, she said, “An actor and a character have their own journey. I lived Kokila for so many years but now I feel her journey completes here where as Rupal Patel’s journey as an actor continues. As Kokila I played a lot of relationships but now I feel as an artiste I need to play more characters. Undoubtedly, Kokila has been one of the most iconic characters in the TV industry which has not only received love from the audience but also respect. And I am sure I will be receiving the same kind of love and respect for my future roles also.”
However, Rupal claims she’s now open to play more strong characters like a Dabang saas but with a lot of positivity. Reportedly, the actor was supposed to shoot her last episode on 22nd October but makers wanted her to shoot for few more days and now her last day on the sets of Sath Nibhana Sathiya 2 will be 7th November.
Recently, Kokilaben’s character became a household name recently after musician Yashraj Mukhate recreated a sequence from the show, which became a rage on social media.
