- Four More Shots Please!
Need no more shots please after watching the first season. Please don’t waste time watching this series. To explain in a few words Four More Shots please is a lite version of Sex and the City. This Indian web show is about four women chasing their dream and love. It is a feminist narrative shown from South Bombay’s eyes, however, it lacks relatability for most women in India. It portrays empowerment, navigating relationships, workplace politics, body issues, and more. This overhyped Amazon Prime Original Series stars Sayani Gupta, Kriti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo, and VJ Bani in the lead.
- Sacred Games
Sacred Games is just another action crime drama about Mumbai mafias. The neo-crime thriller series shows purposeless bloodshed, violence, and abusive language. Despite the incredible performance of Nawazuddin, Saif Ali Khan, and Pankaj Tripathi, Sacred Games is one of the overrated Indian web series. The show created much hype with its first season but all anticipation went in vain with a poor narrative in other chapters.
- Mirzapur Season 2
Similar to Sacred Games Mirazpur also generated much fanfare among the audience. But with the release of the second season, it dropped on the ground. This is another violent show portraying political figures in a small town. Mirzapur season 1 was entertaining and interesting but the second season came up with a horrible narrative. It seems to be a wing of the Gangs of Wasseypur film series. People also call it Indianized version of the Game of Thrones series.
- Little Things
Little Things has created some unrealistic scenarios as such little things don’t happen in real life. The first season that was released by YouTube channel Dice Media was loved and appreciated by many. The dose of fresh love and chemistry faded in the franchise as it was taken over by Netflix. The sequels showed an unrealistic and dramatic relationship between Dhruv Sehgal and Mithila Palkar.
- Call My Agent: Bollywood
Another overrated Indian web series is Call my agent Bollywood. The show starring Ayush Mehra, Aahana Kumra, and Rajat Kapoor among others was overhyped but it failed to deliver great content. This Indian drama series is based on the French TV show Call My Agent! It has nothing fresh to offer but definitely a weak storyline. The makers tried to portray Bollywood’s dirty reality but failed.
