The wait is over as Netflix has officially announced season 2 of the most awaited series ‘Wednesday’. The first season of the series, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, fired the screen with an outstanding storyline and keen suspense. And now it’s been almost 2 years and the makers along with Netflix have revealed that Wednesday season 2 is under production. Well, no doubt Wednesday Addams aka Jenna and Mr. Thing won’t leave their audiences in the second season either, but who else will be part of the second season?
This horror fiction series was the top most watched series when it was released and the song Bloody Mary by Lady Gaga created a buzz on social media. It was one of the trending songs on Instagram. Well, as a video dropped by Netflix, Thing passes the script of the second season to all those who will be part of the upcoming season. Catherine Zeta-Jones will return as Morticia. Emma Myers will be seen in her character of Enid. Apart from these, some others will return to their previous roles: Joy Sunday as Bianca, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Billie Piper as Capri, Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn, Jamie McShane as Sheriff. There is no mention of Hunter Doohan who played Tyler, Riki Lindhome who portrayed a therapist, and Gwendoline Christie, the dean of the school, thus it’s not confirmed whether they will appear in the next season. Netflix shared a photo where the entire team of season 2 has gathered on the set and Hunter Doohan has been seen in the frame.
Apart from all these characters, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Fred Armisen and Christopher Lloyd will be seen in the guest appearances. Season 2, chapter 1 will be ‘Here We Woe Again’, directed by Tim Burton. The team hasn’t updated about the release date and hence stretched the curiosity of audiences.
