Nayanthara To Replace Kareena Kapoor In Yash’s “Toxic”?

As per the latest reports, South actress Nayanthara has replaced Kareena Kapoor Khan in Yash's upcoming film, Toxic.

Toxic: Yash’s upcoming film “Toxic” has been generating buzz for a while. According to a recent report, Nayanthara, known for starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan in “Jawan,” is rumored to be joining the cast. Allegedly, she’s been approached to portray the role of a sister, originally intended for Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Nayanthara Replaces Kareena Kapoor In Toxic?

According to Pinkvilla’s report, discussions are underway between Toxic director Geethu Mohandas and Nayanthara. Nayanthara has reportedly had several meetings with Mohandas and Yash regarding the film. The report suggests that Nayanthara is impressed with the role written for her by Mohandas. If negotiations proceed smoothly, she may accept the offer.

According to a source, Nayanthara has expressed her interest in starring in Toxic, and the logistical details are currently being sorted out. The character, portraying a strong sister, aligns well with Nayanthara’s image as a resilient woman. She’s particularly impressed by Geethu Mohandas’s depiction of a powerful female character which resonates with her vision.

An insider disclosed, that discussions are ongoing, and the team is collaboratively sorting out the logistics and if all goes smoothly, Nayanthara could come on board within the next two weeks.

Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 10, 2025.
