Timothée Chalamet’s Role In ‘Bones And All’ To Distinguish Film From Armie Hammer Controversy

After false reports suggested the 2022 horror drama had been inspired by Armie Hammer’s cannibal sex scandal, Timothée Chalamet felt he had to star in ‘Bones and All’ to prove it wasn’t inspired by the shock story about his former co-star.

Timothée Chalamet felt compelled to star in ‘Bones and All’ to demonstrate that the film was not influenced by Armie Hammer’s cannibalistic sex fantasy scandal. The 27-year-old actor was already involved in pre-production for his role as a human meat scavenger in the 2022 horror drama when reports emerged about his ‘Call Me by Your Name’ co-star Armie, 37, who had faced accusations related to sexual fantasies involving cannibalism.

In the November issue of GQ, Timothée described the situation as “disorienting” and pondered the improbability of their film’s development coinciding with Armie’s controversy. The ‘Dune’ star, who portrayed a flesh-addicted “eater” in ‘Bones and All,’ addressed the erroneous reports suggesting the film’s inspiration, emphasizing, “It made me feel like, ‘Now I’ve really got to do this… because this is actually based on a book.'”

Despite his remarkable fame and success, Timothée shared that he occasionally finds himself browsing the social media of friends who have settled down and contemplates when it might be time for him to make life changes. He remarked, “You start going on Instagram, seeing people from your high school getting married, friends having kids, and you start going: This b****-to-the-wall thing, even at this amazing level I’m at that probably couldn’t have gone better – you still start wondering, How long till you have to change?”

Addressing the impact of social media and fame, he acknowledged the significance of his devoted fanbase in shaping his career.

Timothée also disclosed that he received an encouraging email from Tom Cruise, 61, offering advice on navigating Hollywood. Cruise’s message included a directory-style list of experts for stunt training, encompassing motorcycle and helicopter coaching.

“He basically said, in Old Hollywood, you would be getting dance training and fight training, and nobody is going to hold you to that standard today. So it’s up to you. The email was really like a war cry,” Timothée added.
