Priyanka Chopra Joins Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Janata Curfew

Priyanka Chopra Jonas showed respect to the healthcare professionals and first responders working in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic by clapping and cheering as she stood on her house's balcony.

India observed a’ Janata Curfew‘ on Sunday, March 22, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Bollywood celebrities from Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, and Hema Malini also joined the Janata Curfew clapping initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to pay tribute to everyone is working 24/7  to eradicate COVID-19 from India.

Priyanka Chopra has now posted a video of her participation in the clapping program, too. While Priyanka is not in India, she has made sure to give her salutations to professionals working in the coronavirus outbreak.

 In her message, Priyanka wrote, “People around the world have shown their appreciation for the doctors, nurses and all the first responders battling Covid-19 by clapping on their balconies. Although I could not be India to join, I am there in spirit.”

Also in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, Priyanka and her pop star husband Nick Jonas have been self-quarantined. Priyanka posted a photo of mush on social media on Saturday, which she also used to affirm that isolation is need for an hour.
