Britney Spears Reveals Her Sons ‘Don’t Need Me Anymore’

Along with a series of snaps, Britney Spears penned an emotional note and said, 'I've cried oceans for my boys and I'm not lying.'

Britney Spears took to Instagram with an emotional post in which she talked about her teenage sons Sean Preston and Jayden James growing older. The musical artist opened up about the emotional side of parenthood. The Grammy-winner singer shared a series of shots in which she posed in a shoulderless black skirt with heart patterns and donned a necklace.

Along with the snap, she penned in the caption, “I will just say it just like when my boys got bigger… IT LITERALLY SUCKS.” She continued her emotional note, “They (don’t) need me anymore… I’ve cried oceans for my boys and I’m not lying!!!! Hopefully one day I can show recent pics of us but in the meantime, I respect their wishes!!!!”

The You Drive Me Crazy singer, who is engaged to fiancé Sam Asghari, shares both sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline who she was married to from 2004 to 2007. She wore black heels and her wavy blonde locks down as she smiled in a series of shots, holding her Australian Shepherd puppy Sawyer in one of the snap. She also appeared in a clip in which she showed off the stylish look to a cover of Oh, Pretty Woman by Pomplamoose.

The Oops!… I Did It Again singer initially referred in her post to Sawyer, who she acquired last month, saying that ‘My baby is getting bigger.’ After referencing her teen sons, Spears noted of her dog, “Yes, he’s bigger but he will always need me and I like that!!!!” Spears last September opened up about her relationship with her sons in an Instagram post following their respective birthdays.

The Till the World Ends performer wrote, “Unfortunately they are growing up and want to do their own things… I have to ask their permission to post them because they are extremely independent little men,” while adding that she ‘cried for two days’ after they attended a dance. She shared the quote, “There is nothing stronger between the bond between a mother and a son,” adding that it’s something she truly believes.
