Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are celebrating one year anniversary of their romantic engagement in Santa Barbara. Travis got to one knee and popped the question to Kourtney at the Rosewood Miramar on October 17, 2021.
Kourtney and Travis celebrated the special occasion with photos taken from their engagement day and wedding weekend in Italy. The reality star posted a series of sweet photos from their special day, with one capturing Travis down on one knee.
The couple were photographed celebrating their engagement with a warm embrace. Alongside the series of romantic photos, Kourtney simply penned, ‘October 17, adding a red heart emoji. As soon she shared the snaps, her fans and sisters took to the comment section to shower love. Meanwhile, Travis commented, “I will love you forever, today and every day.”
The Blink 182 drummer also took to his social media and posted a snap of him helping Kourtney into a black dress from their wedding weekend back in May. The black-and-white photograph was captioned also ‘October 17’. Kourtney also took to the comment section and wrote, “2 years with you.” However, Travis previously revealed the special meaning behind October 17 and why he specifically chose that date to propose to Kourtney.
While revealing his proposal plans to Khloe on the Hulu series The Kardashians, Travis said, “So the 17th is the first day we ever hung out. Like I told your mom, I’ve been madly in love with Kourtney forever. He added, “I believe she’s my soulmate and I would like to propose to her on the day that I first was with her.”
The couple went on to say ‘I do’ three times in 2022 – first in Las Vegas in a ceremony conducted without a marriage license, followed by an intimate affair at the Santa Barbara courthouse with Kourtney’s grandmother Mary Jo in attendance. They exchanged vows for a third and final time in Portofino, Italy in May in a lavish bash attended by friends and family.
The marriage marked Kourtney’s first time tying the knot and a third for Travis, who had been married twice before. He shares son Landon Barker, 19, and daughter Alabama Barker, 16, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. Kourtney, meanwhile, has sons Mason, 12, Reign, seven, and daughter Penelope, 10, with her former long-term partner Scott Disick.
