Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Confirms The Actor’s Recovery From A Medical Complication

Jamie Foxx is recovering from a medical complication. According to Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, the actor “had a medical complication” and “is already on the road to recovery.” The Oscar winner is currently filming the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action in Atlanta, which was previously produced in the UK.

The 29-year-old actress posted a statement from the Foxx family on her Instagram, which read: “We wanted to announce that my father, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday. Fortunately, with quick action and great diligence, he is already on the mend.”

She continued: “We know how much you are loved and we appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time.” (Hollywood Reporter)

No further details on the actor’s condition were initially available. The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to representatives from Foxx and Netflix but has not received a response as of press time. During an appearance on The Tonight Show in September, Diaz spoke about how “amazing” it was to be working with Foxx. “He’s so cool, he’s so straightforward, he’s so professional, he’s so talented,” she said. “And just being able to work with him is going to be so much fun.” Diaz previously opened up about her self-proclaimed retirement in a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow in 2020.

“When you’re doing a film, it’s a perfect excuse. They’re yours,” Diaz said at the time. “You’re there 12 hours a day. You don’t have time for anything else for months.
