Neetu Kapoor Outlines Rishi Kapoor As “Strict Boyfriend”, Here’s Why

Rishi Kapoor became soft in his behaviour during his last days when he was in New York with wife Neetu Kapoor. She stopped doing films after her marriage with Rishi Kapoor, and called him a strict boyfriend.

Apart from many other Bollywood marriages, Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor shared a different bond even though they were married. Neetu Singh tied the knot with her boyfriend and Bollywood chocolate boy, Rishi Kapoor, in the year 1980. Today, April 30 marks the 4th death anniversary of this superstar. On her appearance at Koffee with Karan show, Neetu Singh Kapoor talked about their 40 years of togetherness. She unveiled Rishi Kapoor’s behaviour towards his loved ones and outlined him as “Strict Boyfriend”.

Neetu Kapoor was a leading actress in the industry during the 70s and 80s era. But she quit her career after her marriage with Rishi Kapoor. She recalled those days, saying, “But I had this Rishi Kapoor as my boyfriend. So I never partied-partied because he was always like ‘Dont do this, Don’t do that. Come home’. I’ve never seen the wild side of partying in those days. I had a very strict mother and a very strict boyfriend.”

Rishi Kapoor was minimal at expressing his love for his loved ones, may it be Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor or Neetu herself. She elaborated, “Because you know Chintu Ji (Rishi Kapoor) is a very loving person. He had a lot of love in him. But there was something he never really showed his love. He always kept his distance and bullying people, not show his love. Especially with me and my children, he was like a big thing. Respect and all and with that he lost out on a lot with his children. He was never a friend to them.” The Deewaar actress confessed that she never liked to recall the bad days of their relationship. During his last days when he was in New York for his treatment with Neetu, he behaviour changed. “I like to remember the good part of our relationship and of our time in New York. So New York was really sad, but we had the best year, I had the best year of my life. But that year, he opened up. He showed love, went towards me also he was so lovely. We had the best time,” she added.

Rishi Kapoor’s demise was a shock to the entire industry as we lost 3 gems in the year 2020, including Irfaan Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput.
