Ariana Grande Finally Hits Back At Trolls For Body Shaming Her

She started speaking in the video with hello and stated, “I don’t do this often. I don’t like it. I’m not good at it. But I just wanted to address your concerns about my body, and talk a little bit about what it means to be a person with a body and to be seen and to be paid such close attention to.”

She added, “I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what.” “There are ways to compliment someone or ignore something that you see that you don’t like. I think we should help each other work towards being safer and keeping each other safer.” 

“There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful. And personally, for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of anti-depressants and drinking on them and eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life, I looked the way you consider healthy, but that, in fact, wasn’t my healthy,” the singer and actress added.

She showed courage by discussing the trauma and all of it in public. Once people started pointing out that her physical appearance had changed sometime last year, and that she experienced body shaming.
