Harvey Weinstein Tests Positive For COVID-19?

Reports state that Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile, his spokesperson and other officials have not confirmed the same. Read below to know more.

Harvey Weinstein has been screened positive for Coronavirus and has been placed in solitary confinement at New York State Prison. The defamed movie stalwart and convicted rapist is currently behind bars serving a 23-year prison sentence at the Wende Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison outside Buffalo, New York after proven guilty of third-degree sexual molestation and rape.

Harvey Weinstein is one of two prisoners at the Wende Correctional Facility who were diagnosed with COVID-19. However, the spokesman for Harvey Weinstein has not mentioned the reports that he is tested positively for the awful virus. The lawyer and his jail attorney both refrained from speaking on the matter. The local newspaper quotes the source as officials linked to state prison but they haven’t mentioned the name as they are not authorized for the same.

According to the sources, Weinstein had been already diagnosed with COVID-19 by the time he entered the state prison last Wednesday.

However, other sources state that has been kept into isolation ever since he entered the prison and not because of the novel coronavirus but because of his own choice.
