Ed Sheeran has recently released a tour edition of his 2021 album, = (Equals), which features several new songs including, Welcome to the World. Apart from this, there’s one special audio that grabbed fans’ attention. At the end of the sweet track, there’s audio of Cherry Seaborn and his conversation.
In the audio, Sheeran asks Seaborn, who was pregnant at the time, “You felt a kick?” “It just kicked!” she exclaims in response before the song comes to a close with the couple joyfully laughing together. While Sheeran hasn’t revealed the meaning of the track, its release comes the same month that he and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, announced the arrival of their second daughter.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, already shares a 1-year-old daughter, Lyra. While sharing the news of his second daughter’s birth on Instagram, Ed Sheeran wrote, “Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x.” The star had announced the birth of Lyra in a similar way, sharing a snap of her baby socks on a blanket alongside his message.
The couple reportedly only confided in their closest family members about the pregnancy. Ed’s spokesperson confirmed to The Sun, “Ed and Cherry recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl and are on cloud nine. They’re so excited for Lyra to have a little sister and the four of them are currently enjoying some precious family time before Ed heads back on tour. We are delighted for them, and we hope that you can respect their privacy at this special time.”
The loved-up couple are the childhood sweethearts, having grown up together in the same town. However, they rekindled their romance in 2014 and tied the knot in a small ceremony five years later. Not a while ago, Ed Sheeran shared a rare glimpse into his marriage with an intimate snap of him with his better half on Seaborn’s 30th birthday. Taking to Instagram, Ed posted a photo of the couple lying in a hammock together, with their arms around each other.
