Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One is getting favorable reviews from critics and audiences. Unlike most sequels in other franchises, it did not end on a cliffhanger and the reason is Tom Cruise.
According to the director of the film, Christopher McQuarrie, it was Tom Cruise who suggested ending the movie in a way that would keep viewers anticipating the eighth installment. Additionally, Cruise wanted the story to satisfy the audience.
When it comes to action movies, Tom Cruise has excelled, especially in the “Mission: Impossible” series. According to Christopher McQuarrie, the goodbye scene between Ethan and Grace in “Mission: Impossible 7” was filmed two years before filming began, and Cruise had to wear a wig to conceal the new hairdo for the eighth movie.
Addressing the climax, McQuarrie said that it had been planned for a long time and that Tom had to stay up all night while filming to keep coming up with new ideas.
“Mission: Impossible 8” is one of the movies and TV shows that have been impacted by the WGA Strike. Christopher McQuarrie appears to have been forced to cease writing the script due to the WGA strike, though the producers have not officially announced anything as of yet.
