Britney Spears Believes Kevin Federline Betrayed Her By Putting ‘Kids Drama’ In The Public Eye

Britney Spears is feeling terribly upset by the public controversy after Kevin Federline disclosed that his and Britney Spears' boys aren't seeing the singer.

The current state of Britney Spears’ connection with her boys Sean Federline, 16, and Jayden Federline, 15, was not something she intended to discuss in public. But the family strife is now public knowledge because of a recent interview with the boy’s father, Kevin Federline. A source revealed to HollywoodLife, “[Britney] wanted to keep her kids’ drama out of the spotlight because this is sacred to her. [Kevin] to do this interview shows her that he has no respect for her.”

According to a second insider, Britney “has no idea why” Kevin decided to make this information public. “Britney is the happiest she’s ever been and she wishes her loved ones could be happy for her, including her boys,” the source continued. “She loves them more than anything in the world and has done everything in her power to be the best mom to them. She feels like other people have helped them make up their minds about her and it’s just not fair.”

The issue began on August 6 when details from Kevin’s interview with ITV concerning Britney and the boys started to circulate. The teens, who also skipped their mother’s wedding to Sam Asghari in June, “have decided they are not seeing [Britney] right now,” Kevin stated. “It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”

Kevin claimed that they had supposedly opted to separate themselves in part because of Britney’s intimate Instagram photos. However, according to our insider, Britney has “no intention of ceasing to upload her usual material. She spent the past 13 years of her life [in a conservatorship] and being directed what to do in every single move,” the source explained. “It’s the first time she’s really been free.”

Family members other than Britney’s boys were also unable to attend, largely as a result of controversy surrounding the singer’s 13-year conservatorship, which ended in November 2021. She did not invite her mother Lynne, sister Jamie Lynn, or her father Jamie Spears, who served as her primary conservator. However, a close friend of Britney’s claims that “much of” Kevin’s interview is “untrue” and that “she’s seen boys recently,”
