After the Santa Monica church stated she didn’t inquire about using it as the location for her wedding, Britney Spears retaliated. On Monday, August 8, Britney, 40, addressed the allegations in a message on her Instagram post. After the church claimed that the singer didn’t ask for the location to conduct her wedding to Sam Asghari, 28, she described the procedure in a statement to TMZ.
The Blackout singer added that as she was organising everything for her big day with Sam, she had forwarded the church to her wedding planner. “I hired a wedding planner who has done Madonna’s wedding and plenty more. He was extremely expensive and yes my first request was to get married in that church pictured,” Britney wrote. “I was told 6 weeks later… I could not get married there.”
Britney revealed that, aside from the wedding, she had intended to drop by the church but was advised against it “due to the pandemic.” She was irritated by the church’s response, yet she seemed to simply dismiss it. When their church claims that she never inquired, she said, “It’s not a big deal, but I don’t like being called a liar when their church says I never asked.”
On Tuesday, August 2, Britney wrote on Instagram about the chapel being her initial ideal location. She stated that she want to visit but was unable to do so because of COVID-19. She went on to say that because of her beliefs, the church had rejected her wedding preparations. She added, according to Page Six, “Then 2 years later when I wanted to get married there they said I had to be Catholic and go through TEST.”
Along with the church, Britney has lately called out other people, such as her ex Kevin Federline, after he stated in an interview that the couple’s boys Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, are “not seeing” the singer at the moment. The “Toxic” singer criticized Kevin’s remarks on Instagram. “It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children,” she wrote.
