Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, two prominent actors in Bollywood,, have never shared the screen in a full-length film, but they did make guest appearances in each other’s movies, though for brief moments. However, fans have been eagerly anticipating the day they will see both superstars together in a movie for an extended period.
Shah Rukh Khan featured in a song in the movie ‘Heyy Babyy’, which starred Akshay Kumar. In return, Akshay Kumar made a special appearance in the film ‘Om Shanti Om’, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Interestingly, during an interview with DNA, Shah Rukh Khan candidly revealed why they haven’t worked together on a full-fledged project. When asked why there haven’t been any films featuring both of them, SRK humorously responded that their schedules are vastly different. Akshay is known for his early morning routine, while SRK prefers to be a nocturnal person. Their working hours simply don’t align, making it challenging for them to meet on the sets of a film.
SRK playfully remarked that when Akshay is waking up and starting his day, he is going to sleep, and by the time SRK gets ready for work, Akshay is already packing up. He added that while he would love to work with Akshay and admires his work ethic, their timings just don’t match up.
As for their upcoming projects, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his much-awaited film, Jawaan, directed by Atlee, set to release on 7th September. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar has Oh My God 2, a sequel to the successful OMG, scheduled to hit theaters on 11th August 2023.
Though fans may have to wait a little longer to see these two cinematic legends sharing the screen for an entire movie, the hope remains that someday the stars will align, and Bollywood enthusiasts will witness this dream collaboration come to life.
