Vijay Deverakonda Raises Rs. 40 Lakhs To Help More Than 4000 Families

Actor Vijay Deverakonda has raised Rs. 40 lakhs through donations from fans to help more than 4000 families impacted due to lockdown. Read below to know more.

Amid the nationwide lockdown due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, many sections of the society have been adversely affected. These people have lost their livelihood because of the crisis and now are suffering to meet the days need. Many NGOs and Indian celebs are stepping forward to help them and the recent name to join the list is Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda.

The Arjun Reddy actor revealed that he has raised Rs. 40 lakhs through fan donations to help more than 4000 families. The actor donated Rs. 25 lakhs from his end to Middle-Class Fund set up by Deverakonda Foundation. Vijay took to his Twitter to announce the news, he said, “Today what I saw was magical. Mass care, mass love, mass generosity. Each one of you, this #MiddleClassFund and its success belongs to you. I promise I will not let you down, we will reach out to each and everyone who reaches out to us and we shall all enjoy the happy smiles that shine back at us.”

“In a day you made my 25 lakhs into 40+ lakhs. Together we have now reset our goal of 2000+ families to 4000+ families,” he added.

“We’ve set up a dedicated fund with an aim to provide relief to affected middle-class families during the COVID crisis. The fund will help affected families buy basic groceries and essential food items. We’re currently providing relief only in AP and Telangana. Update on relief in other states will be announced shortly”, revealed the website portal.

Vijay has already made donations to several charities and Telangana Police who are day and night during the times of crisis.

On the work front, Vijay will be next seen in the movie titled Fighter alongside Bollywood diva Ananya Panday. The film is speculated to release in 2021.
