On the night of the award, Gully Boy made a record by winning as many as 13 awards like leading Best Actor and Actress, Supporting actor and actress, Best Film, Best Music, Lyrics and many more.

Taking a jibe at Alia, who won the Best Actress Award FOR Gully Boy, Rangoli wrote, “Alia got award for her mediocre performance last year, she has a long way to go but still she was in the lead role, how do you get lead role award in a supporting role is beyond me.”

Several times Rangoli took on the mantle of advocating for Kangana, and this time was no different. The fiery actress’s elder sister ruffled feathers when she said Hrithik Roshan had been harassed and insulted by the senior lyricist, Javed Akhtar, asking her to apologize. She continued that on calling Kangana there he had done so at home.

The Kangana-Hrithik rivalry has been a well-known and almost constant dispute within the industry. It’s also a problem that keeps coming up somewhere, no matter how far the industry is moving away from it.

Mahesh Bhatt threw chappal at Kangana Ranaut

Rangoli has criticized Mahesh Bhatt of throwing “chappal ” at 19-year-old Kangana during Woh Lamhe’s 2006 screening in a series of fresh tweets on the micro-blogging website. Rangoli Chandel made the shocking revelation after Soni Razdan Mahesh Bhatt’s wife took a jibe to Kangana for criticizing Alia Bhatt.

Soni Razdan wrote, ”Mahesh Bhatt is the man who has given her a break … she goes on to attack his wife and daughter. Daughter over and over again. What is left to be said then about abusing and hatred I wonder. Apart from character of course. Agenda ? What’s hers … the tweet was later deleted and stood up for her sister and hit back at Razdan saying

The 2006 movie Woh Lamhe was supposedly based on the unversed on the secret love affair between the director Mahesh Bhatt and the late actress Parveen Babi. Starring Kangana Ranaut and Shiney Ahuja in the lead roles, the film was produced by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Mohit Suri.

When asked Mahesh on the same he said “Our morals teach us that we don’t point fingers at our children. These are our children and to speak against them will serve your purpose but will clash with our way of living,”

“She (Kangana) is a child who started her journey with us. If her relative has said something, for me to speak about that will only drag the matter. Till we die, we won’t speak anything ill about our children,” he added.

“But I won’t speak ill about my junior, our women and children. My morals, my nature, my belief stops me from doing that,” he concluded.

All these revelations and accusations started the day before yesterday, in response to those who label the PM ‘ fascist ‘ the tweet that referred to the lyricist and film director depicting them as wrong-doers came. Perhaps, it was the way Rangoli showed them a mirror in her way.
