Recently, Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra, was spotted at a restaurant in Mumbai wearing a black see-through outfit (top). The video quickly went viral on social media, but unfortunately, it garnered significant hate and brutal trolling. Some netizens crossed the line by questioning her character and targeting her choice of attire in a demeaning manner. The post has accumulated numerous nasty comments, which are extremely embarrassing for the Chopra family.
One user expressed, “I mean, it’s good she is doing her thing, but this is too much. I am almost embarrassed looking at her. There are paparazzi who are younger kids and boys… There is no elegance, modesty… I believe you can look way sexy and beautiful in a salwar kameez, saree… I don’t mean to offend anyone; this is my opinion, and a strong one.”
Another commented, “Ashlilta ki Hadd hai” (This is crossing the limits of indecency). Yet another user added, “In every aspect, modesty is the biggest, richest thing you can’t buy but practice.”
Amidst the criticism, there were some positive comments as well. One user remarked, “Even at 70 years of age, Madhu Chopra ji looks so young and hot.” Another said, “It’s a person’s choice whatever he or she wants to wear; chill!”
However, neither Madhu nor Priyanka Chopra has issued an official statement in response to the issue on social media or in the press.
