Pranati Rai Prakash On Shershaah: I Cried A Lot While Watching The Film

Model and actor Pranati Rai Prakash shares how she got emotional after watching the latest film 'Shershaah'.

The entire nation is talking about the latest Hindi film ‘Shershaah’ that was released on August 12. Based on the life of Param Vir Chakra Awardee Captain Vikram Batra, the film has made every Indian feel emotional witnessing his tale of valor and sacrifice.

In our latest interview with actor and model Pranati Rai Prakash, we asked her if she has watched the film yet. The actress replied, “I watched the film and cried a lot during several scenes. I could relate a lot to that film. When my father used to go to field postings, we would barely get a chance to talk to him. We wouldn’t even know when he would come back home. I remember that we used to write letters to him. My father has served at the Siachen glacier three times. I could imagine what my mother used to go through while watching Kiara Advani in the film.”

She further said, “The film made me feel proud. But at the same time, it also made me feel sad. Our soldiers and their families sacrifice a lot for the citizens of the country. I just have a sense of deep gratitude for them. What we can do is, be good citizens who are worth fighting for! We already have enemies and therefore, we should stop fighting with our fellow citizens.”

Pranati Rai Prakash is best known as the winner of India’s Next Top Model 2016 edition. She was also a semi-finalist at Miss India 2015. She has also acted in ‘Poison’, ‘Family Of Thakurganj’, and ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Pranati will be next seen in ‘Cartel’ web series that is coming out on MX Player and Alt Balaji on August 20.

When asked what kind of roles she would like to play in the future, Pranati said, “I would definitely like to play an Army Officer’s role because I am a patriot since childhood. Living in cantonment, I have seen their life very closely. We, as kids, also used to do obstacle courses. So, I would be happy to relive that again. And I won’t even have to prepare a lot. I’ll just have to go and live with my father for a few days.”
