After Shershaah Release, Fans Recall Abhishek Bachchan’s Performance As Captain Vikram Batra

After Sidharth Malhotra wins our hearts in Shershaah, people recall Abhishek Bachchan's portrayal of Captain Vikram Batra in the 2003 film LOC: Kargil.

On 12th August, Amazon Prime Video released ‘Shershaah’. The long-awaited biopic of Kargil Hero Captain Vikram Batra stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. As soon as it started streaming, positive reviews from the audience and the critics began to sweep in. After the film’s release, people are interested in knowing more about the Kargil Hero who attained martyrdom for the greater good.

While Sidharth Malhotra has definitely surprised everyone with his stellar performance, people also recall Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in LOC: Kargil.

For the unaware, Abhishek Bachchan played the role of Captain Vikram Batra in J.P. Dutta’s multi-starrer film based on the Kargil War. In this film, Esha Deol played his love interest (Dimple Cheema). While Dimple’s role has been played by Kiara Advani in Shershaah.

A YouTube channel made a compilation video using the most intense scenes from Shershaah and LOC.

While Sidharth totally wins our hearts in Captain Vikram Batra’s biopic, Abhishek Bachchan too did a great job in the 2003 film. With less screen time and more responsibilities on his shoulder, Junior Bachchan didn’t disappoint his fans back then. He definitely made us feel patriotic with his role in the film while Sidharth made us emotional and left us teary-eyed.

It’s not a wise thing to compare both the actors and their performance because while LOC was made in 2003 with a huge cast and portrayed the entire Kargil War, Shershaah, on the other hand, has been made in 2021 with the latest technology and focuses only on Captain Vikram Batra’s life.
