1. Tweet On Lord Hanuman

In April 2015, Om Raut made a tweet about Lord Hanuman on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. In his tweet, he wrote, “Was God Hanuman Deaf? People around my building think so. Playing loud music like “really loud” on Hanuman Jayanti. Plus all irrelevant songs.”

This tweet had gone unnoticed back in the day as Om Raut wasn’t a public figure. However, after the release of Adipurush, people found this tweet and made it viral. However, Om Raut, scared of the criticism, instantly deleted it. People have slammed him for calling Lord Hanuman ‘deaf’ and then, making a film on him to fill his pockets.

2. Kissing Kriti Sanon

A few weeks ago, Om Raut made headlines as he kissed Adipurush actress Kriti Sanon at the premises of Tirupati temple. The team of Adipurush had gone to Tirupati for a promotional event and also visited the temple to seek God’s blessings. After the darshan, Om Raut gave a kiss to Kriti on the cheek. People bashed him for this gesture near the temple premises.

3. His Film Adipurush

Om Raut’s latest film Adipurush has turned out to be a controversial film. The film is based on Ramayan and features Kriti Sanon, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh. It has received negative feedback from critics and the audience. People have called out Om Raut for his lack of research, poor VFX, cheap dialogues and unconvincing casting. His film earned good numbers on the first weekend due to advance booking, but as the reviews came in, the film crashed at the box office.
