Madgaon Express Box Office Verdict: Comedy Film “Hit Or Flop”?

Directed by Bollywood actor, Kunal Kemmu, the much-anticipated comedy-drama, “Madgaon Express” was released in theatres on 22 March. Starring Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, and Nora Fatehi the comedy film opened up to positive reviews from the moviegoers. Now that the film has almost finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

Madgaon Express Box Office Collection Day 6

As per Sacnilk.com, Kunal Kemmu’s film, “Madgaon Express” had a slow start at the box office. The film earned a mere ₹ 1.5 Cr on its opening day. However, the comedy film witnessed slight growth during the weekend, the film earned ₹ 2.75 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 2.8 Cr on Sunday.

Keeping the momentum the film earned ₹ 2.6 Cr on Monday. However, starting Tuesday, the film witnessed a decline in numbers. The comedy film earned ₹ 1.45 Cr on its fifth day (Tuesday) and approx ₹ 1.14 Cr on Wednesday. After crossing the 10cr mark, Madgaon Express now stands at a domestic total of approx. ₹ 12.24 Cr.

Madgaon Express Hit Or Flop?

“Madgaon Express” had a slow start but gained momentum over the weekend before facing a decline in earnings from Tuesday onwards. Despite crossing ₹12.24 Cr domestically, its consistent decrease in collections indicates a struggle to maintain audience interest. While not a flop, it falls short of being a box office hit due to its inability to sustain early success and viewer engagement throughout its run.
