Saqib Ayub, an actor who gained recognition after Farzi starring Shahid Kapoor, was recently seen in the series Love Adhura. Karan Kundrra and Erica Fernandez starrer Love Adhura was released on March 13 and Saqib portrayed a prominent character in the series along with these leads. His journey was full of highs and lows. Even after working with many Bollywood stars, he didn’t get the popularity he should have. In an exclusive interview with Lehren, Saqiib shed light on various things including sharing screens with Bollywood stars.
Before appearing in Farzi, Saqib Ayub worked in Amitabh Bachchan starrer “Thugs of Hindostan” and Ranbir Kapoor’s “Brahmastra”. During these three ventures he learned a lot from his co-actors and built himself. He said that he was in contact with two acting masters, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, so he had that opportunity to adapt the fine details in his work. When he didn’t have any scenes, he used to sit near the monitor and observe both the actors that how they gave their shots. He indeed had a great time with Aamir Khan as he was a convivial person. He recalled the moment when he played chess with Aamir Khan because Aamir used to ask each and every person to play chess with him. Thugs of Hindostan had a large crew of nearly 1000 people, so it was enthralling for Saqib to watch closely how a big budget venture gets produced.
Further, he talked about Brahmastra released in 2022. He described Ranbir Kapoor as a down-to-earth actor. It was a brotherly feeling with Ranbir, he described. Saqib put his experience into words, saying that Ranbir is a person who will never show off or flaunt his stardom in front of you. He would never make you feel like you are a newcomer or a small-scale actor. There were many common interest topics between Ranbir and him which they used to discuss. As we know, Shah Rukh Khan is the one and only actor who portrayed the romantic lead like no one else can. Saqib outlined Ranbir Kapoor as the best romantic hero after SRK.
